Delhi Metro on Friday launched high-speed free Wi-Fi service at 50 stations of its Blue Line service. According to the DMRC's announcement, the passengers of Blue Line of Delhi Metro can now register once on 'Oui DMRC Free Wifi' by going to Wi-Fi option at Dwarka Sector 21 and Vaishali / Noida City St. Stations.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said, "Under this facility, passengers will be able to use all standard internet applications at the station."

Delhi Metro will provide Wi-Fi services in all phases in a phased manner. And in the next six to nine months, this service is expected to start in Yellow Line (Hooda City Center-Timepur Bütley) and Airport Line Metro.

In October last year, the Wi-Fi service was started at all the six stations on the airport line. On Sunday, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said that in July, the facility of mobile banking was provided for the passengers of the Delhi Metro, to recharge their smart cards and buy tokens.

DMRC said in a statement: "DMRC today launched the facility of cashless token cell / smart card recharge using the India Quick Response (QR) code appearing on the Customer Care Center of Token Counter and Metro Station."

The benefits of this service can be taken through any bank's application and it has been made by HDFC Bank. Passengers will have to opt for 'pay through QR' option in the app and thereafter, directly scan the QR code on the ticket counter from the smartphone camera. And then the amount of rental will be paid by putting it.
