More than 34 crore subscribers of Reliance Jio, Mukesh Ambani said in the annual general meeting of Reliance
At Reliance AGM 2019, Mukesh Ambani said that over 34 crore subscribers have joined Jio Network in India.
Reliance Jio revealed in an earnings report of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) last month that the company had 331.1 million subscribers by the second quarter of 2019. At the 42nd general meeting of Reliance 2019, Reliance Industries Limited Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that this figure has now crossed 340 million. Data revealed in July showed that Jio is the largest telecom company in India in terms of subscribers.
Mukesh Ambani said, more than 34 crore subscribers are connected to Jio. He further said that Jio has become the largest telecom company in India in terms of subscribers, income, and profits. During the 42nd general meeting of Reliance, Mukesh Ambani revealed that Jio has been successful in connecting 10 million subscribers to its network every month. He said that with this growth rate, the target of 500 million subscribers is within the limit.
Recall that last month, Reliance Jio has also overtaken Vodafone-Idea in terms of number of subscribers in India. Both telecom companies had released their second-quarter figures. Vodafone-Idea reduced its subscriber figure to 320 million in the second quarter.
On the other hand, by the end of the second quarter, Reliance Jio had also crossed the 331.3 million mark. During the annual general meeting, a big announcement has also been made about Jio GigaFiber. The price of the Jio Fiber Plan will start from Rs 700 to Rs 10,000 per month, which means it is designed for every budget and every segment.
