Airtel Payments Bank is a public limited company with its
headquarters in New Delhi, India. The company is a subsidiary of Bharti
Airtel. It is the first company in India to receive a payments bank
license from the Reserve Bank of India and it became the first live
payments bank in the country

Out of these 11 Payment Bank licensee’s 3 surrendered their license to RBI. Those are-

- Cholamandalam distribution services
Aditya Birla Ltd. discontinued its payment bank operations from 26 July 2019. Vodafone M-Pesa Ltd didn’t start its payment bank owing to complications.
